a new DLC has leaked, but it’s a disappointment…

Cyberpunk 2077 has leaked one of its DLCs which we will unfortunately never see. Yet it was promising. Maybe for Cyberpunk 2?

It’s good, we know, CD Projekt has definitively released Cyberpunk 2077. The entire studio is now working on other projects: The Witcher 4, The Witcher Remake or even the sequel to Cyberpunk precisely. However, the story could well have continued if we are to believe these new leaks that have recently appeared online.

Cyberpunk 2077 DLC has leaked again, but we will never see it

As with the Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 leaks, it was once again Insider Gaming who spotted the leak on social networks. Once again, these are files that do not date from yesterday, since they would have been online since… 2021. CD Projekt had been the victim of yet another hack and conceptual files had been removed. At the time, obviously, no one had really put their nose into it, until today.

In these images and files full of concepts, it is a lunar DLC that is being referred to. Apparently, this Cyberpunk 2077 expansion was supposed to take place on the moon. We don’t know what the story would have been about, but many aborted illustrations and 3D models show lunar environments, buildings or even objects that would have built this entire space world. A very anticipated version of the potential map is even visible, giving us a glimpse of several points of interest including craters inhabited by structures. As a reminder, basically, the moon was supposed to be a real destination in Cyberpunk 2077, a kind of haven of peace. This is also one of the subjects covered in the only DLC of the game, without us being able to see it unfortunately.

But if we never see the moon in Cyberpunk 2077, maybe these concepts will be kept for Cyberpunk 2, you never know.

Phantom Liberty players know what the moon represents

We’re not going to complain, we have Phantom Liberty

For now, the only DLC available for Cyberpunk 2077 is the excellent Phantom Liberty, with an ultra-charismatic Idris Elba as a guest. A new explorable region, new weapons and skills as well as a story that smacks of espionage are on the menu of this DLC which is very appreciated by players and the press elsewhere. To this was also added an imposing update, a 2.0 overhaul which did a world of good to the game.

The latter is available to all players without needing to get their hands on the DLC. After a chaotic start, Cyberpunk 2077 managed to get out of it in the best possible way. Too bad it’s over anyway. Now we’ll wait for what happens next and maybe then we’ll go to the moon. Cyberpunk 2077 is available on PS5, Xbox Series and PC but also on olg gen console. Its Phantom Liberty DLC, however, is exclusive to PS5, Xbox Series and PC.
