Dragon Quest XII shouldn’t be news for a while, but that doesn’t mean the license of Square-Enix will stay in the closet too long. We recently had a rather nice spin-off for the saga and the publisher now intends to present us with a brand new RPG. The only problem is that it is not the twelfth opus or another spin-off on consoles, butan RPG for iOS and Android mobile platforms.
A real big RPG on mobiles?
If nothing is known about this new RPG yet DragonQuestwe can already note in our diaries the date of January 18 at 11 a.m. at our place, since this is when Square Enix will take the floor to present this new project to us. The event will be followed on Square Enix’s Japanese YouTube channel. An official site with a countdown has just opened in an attempt to raise the level of impatience among fans of the series.
We obviously hope that despite the platforms on which this RPG DragonQuest will come out, it will have an acceptable economic model and will not succumb to the attempt of abusive gacha, but that is almost a waste of time these days. In any case, if Square Enix has not changed its tune, there will be no question of blockchain or NFT despite the company’s desire to invest in this environment.
