All lights seem to be green for Tenways despite the current tensions in the electric bike market, from the setbacks of VanMoof, in bankruptcy filing, to the huge delays in deliveries due to disruptions in the supply chain. The Dutch-based company is present in 17 European countries through a network of 700 retailers and 130 service centers for the maintenance and repair of its bicycles.
The AGO T is a bike that is distinguished by its low step-over frame, an architecture that the fairer sex could appreciate because it is very practical when wearing a skirt. But everyone could find what they are looking for, especially in town, where you have to get on and off your machine very regularly. The aluminum frame accommodates in its main beam a large capacity battery, 504 Wh in this case, made up of LG cells, a safe bet.
This battery powers a 250 W Bafang M420 central motor, capable of delivering the comfortable torque of 80 Nm. A good reserve of power therefore, but delivering controlled assistance thanks to the integration of a power sensor. The user can perfect the settings of his bike by using the large color LCD screen placed on the stem or the application which communicates via Bluetooth with the electronics of the AGO T. The brand announces a maximum autonomy of 100 km.
Tenways relies heavily on the ease of use of its bike, which adopts a transmission that perfectly meets this objective. A Gates CDX Carbon belt is thus preferred to the classic chain. There is also an Enviolo hub with progressive gear changes offering a transmission ratio ranging from 100 to 310%. This top-of-the-range system makes it possible to adapt the transmission ratio perfectly to one’s needs, including when stationary. The AGO T benefits from powerful braking with hydraulic discs.
As for comfort, the cyclist can count on a raised position and a suspension fork. The 28-inch wheels accommodate CST puncture-proof tires. There is of course the essential equipment for urban use with complete LED lighting, mudguards, a kickstand and a robust luggage rack. The Tenways AGO T is suitable for people between 165 and 195 cm tall. It is offered in three colors (green, black or white) at a price of 2699 €. A price that positions it in the mid-range, at the level of the least expensive models of Mustache for example.
