a new exclusive is postponed again

PlayStation and PC players will still have to wait before they can play Goodbye Volcano High, which will still be a good big year late.

Already postponed in 2021, Goodbye Volcano High is once again falling behind on PS5, PS4 and PC, and will not even see the light of day in 2022.

Goodbye Volcano High late on PS5, PS4 and PC

Initially announced to be released in 2021, KO_OP’s independent game had already announced a first postponement and was aiming for the current year. Only here, the game still needs to be refined and will miss 2022. It is now targeting summer 2023 without giving a precise date, but will remain a PS5 and PS4 console exclusive in addition to being released on PC.

The developers state that this delay is due to increased ambitions. The previous postponements, for their part, were linked to a complete overhaul of the main frame and to major organizational concerns because of the Covid19.

Goodbye Volvano High wants to be a narrative game with many choices where we will embody a band of adolescent creatures in the middle of the end of the world. Inspired by the aesthetics of cartoons from the 80s and 90s, the game will bet above all on a light atmosphere to send us a critical message, a bit satirical of our time, not without a bit of humor.
The KO_OP studio also promises us a mix of narrative cinematics and gameplay inspired by visual novels, all stuffed with mini-games and choices whose consequences can drastically change the experience.
