A new game adapted from the Shadowman comic is in preparation

It is the Australians of Blowfish Studios, whose catalog is full of titles, each more anonymous than the other, who have reached an agreement with the comic book publisher Valiant Entertainment for this surprise announcement. Flagship title of the Valiant catalog with more than 5 million copies sold, Shadowman was born in 1992 and tells the story of Jack Boniface, a jazzman from New Orleans invested by the spirit of a voodoo god, which basically gives him the ability to walk between the world of the living and that of the dead, while allowing him to sniff out demons from afar. Based on an original scenario, this new title which is still very little revealed (and which does not intend to be released before the end of 2024) should take the form of an action and horror game tinged with RPG elements.

This is D4RQUE

As a conspiracy threatens to overrun the realm of the living, Shadowman must face horrific foes in tough and visceral combat. Follow a dark path between the world of the living and the hellish realm of Death as you cross the veil that separates them. Play as the shadow hero to cross the necromantic chasm, overcome dastardly obstacles and silence the terrifying threats that lurk within “, can we read.

Switching between realms should be central to the gameplay, especially when it comes to solving environmental puzzles. We are also promised melee combat “ difficult, but accessible and rewarding “, especially against good big demonic bosses. As often, the protagonist will no longer be the same at the end of his adventure as at the beginning, a progression system being part of it to acquire new skills along the way. As with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, a prologue to the game will be available in comic form as part of the Free Comic Book Day Saturday May 6.
