She laments the “incomplete information” supplied by the Italian confectionery giant Ferrero, and specifies that all chocolates produced in this factory are subject to a recall. In France, 21 patients have been reported by the National Reference Center for Salmonella at the Institut Pasteur, reports Public Health France. Fifteen of them indicated that they had consumed products affected by the recall. The median age of consumers is 4 years old.
Which chocolates are affected?
In total, hundreds of tons of chocolates are urgently recalled. Among these products, we find the Kinder Surprise 20g and 100g with expiry dates between the end of June and the end of October 2022, the Kinder Schoko-Bons with expiry dates between the end of April and the end of August 2022, the Kinder Mini Eggs with identical expiration dates, Kinder Happy Moments, Kinder Mixes, with basket, stuffed animal and seal, with expiration dates up to the end of August 2022. In most cases, symptoms of salmonellosis (diarrhea, nausea, fever, stomach cramps) disappear quickly. In other cases, especially for people with weak immune systems, complications may develop and lead to hospitalization.
