a new leak that totally disappoints fans

We know that the PS4 and PS5 exclusives are gradually arriving on PC little by little. However, for the moment, Bloodborne has no right to a port. And the fans are waiting. This new information risks demoralizing.

Bloodborne is an excellent game. It is undeniable that since its launch in 2015, the expectation for a PC version of this PS4 exclusive has been strong among fans. Mixing action RPG and dark fantasy, From Software’s title has everything to seduce and fascinate a wide audience of players. Unfortunately, until now, PC enthusiasts have not had the opportunity to embark on the adventure. For their part, PS5 players are still waiting for a potential version with the graphics improvements that go with it. Unfortunately, the recent revelations are not likely to boost their morale. Here’s why.

Bloodborne: a PS5 and PC version?

Resetera, a forum widely followed by video game enthusiasts, is frequently at the heart of multiple rumors and sometimes even leaks. This is explained by the presence of many influential personalities from the video game sector who participate, either under cover of anonymity via pseudonyms, or under their real identity. Sometimes renowned journalists speak out to share exclusive information. This time, attention is focused on a post from Imran Khan, editor-in-chief at Game Informer, who reveals that a PS5 version and a PC port for Bloodborne were in development. Here are his explanations:

Bloodborne PC/PS5 was at one point in the works.

I haven’t heard about anything in years, so I won’t hold my breath.

Obviously, that was all it took to completely panic the fans on the forum in question. While many players express their disappointment, some, on the other hand, take the opportunity to analyze the situation. In particular, they see this as a sign that a remaster is probably on the way and that FromSoftware is simply waiting for the release of the Bloodborne film to announce it. As always, this news should be taken with a grain of salt. Nothing is official.

What do we know about a potential remaster or remake?

Last August, during a stream, David Jaffe, the creator of God of War and Twisted Metal, declared that there was indeed a project underway for Bloodborne with the aim of bringing it up to date. Obviously, this had gained momentum at the time, which led him to clarify his remarks. “ I don’t have any insider information. We’ve been hearing about the remaster or remake of Bloodborne for a long time. All I said was that I know a journalist who told me it was going to happen, that it was true and that it would have to be revealed sooner or later, and that was that. But I ? I have no fucking idea “.

Currently, the only way to access an enhanced version of Bloodborne is via an unofficial patch created by modder Lance McDonald, who cobbled together a 60 FPS patch for jailbroken PS5 consoles. This is an illegal action which is not without risk for the console. It is therefore better to wait for an official update before enjoying it on PS5, hoping that it will eventually arrive.
