Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 should soon be entitled to the return of an iconic game mode and a brand new map. Fans will be thrilled.
The best soups are made in old pots. An expression that Activision and Infinity Ward know inside out and greatly appreciate. They have understood that capitalizing on what has already worked is a safe bet. It is not for nothing that Shipment and Shoot House are already back in the COD Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer and that Call of Duty Warzone 2 will also be entitled to a surprise comeback.
Infinity Ward would indeed prepare the big return of one of the most beloved XXL experiences of the Warzone license, the famous Resurgence mode and its Rebirth Island map.
Call of Duty Warzone 2 should make gamers happy
If the uninitiated in Activision’s battle royale won’t see what we’re talking about, but fans will certainly have stars in their eyes reading his lines. New information shared on Reddit indeed claims that the famous game mode, which appeared on Warzonecould make a resounding comeback on Warzone 2.
For those unaware, Resurgence is a large-scale game mode that took place on Rebirth Island, a large map smaller than the battle royale battlefield. The mode allowed fifty players to compete in even faster and more explosive combat than in the original experience.
Resurgence and its menu have quickly found their audience to the point of becoming a real must-have experience.
Faced with such success, Activision would therefore have decided to reintegrate the mode into Warzone 2 with a new unpublished map, but very similar to Rebirth Island. The first visuals speak for themselves although the points of interest all seem new.
It is also said that the new map will be playable on Warzone 2 by accommodating up to about 50 fighters, but that it would also integrate the DMZ mode and the Ground War mode (large scale maps) of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. Moreover, TheGhostHope, renowned insider in the field, had already affirmed that the Resurgence mode and a new card similar to Rebirth should arrive in Modern Warfare 2 by 2023.
For the moment therefore, nothing official, but the noose is tightening and it is very likely that the 2023 seasons of call of duty warzone 2 have some nice surprises in store for us in addition to the big expected narrative DLC.
