Indeed the new free Xbox Game Pass game is quite simply… Persona 5 Tactica. Persona 5 Tactica is a new tactical role-playing game that immerses the famous Phantom Thieves in a fairly new universe. In this game, the characters are allied with a revolutionary named Erina to help her fight against the Legionnaires.
Unlike Persona 5, the persona system in Tactica limits characters to a single sub-Persona each, providing an additional spell or skill buff. Character building is also quite simplified, with skill trees specific to each character. The game also only allows for three active team members at any time.
The story of Persona 5 Tactica begins during the events of Persona 5, when the Phantom Thieves suddenly find themselves transported to an alternate universe while relaxing at Café Leblanc. The game features a brand new story as well as new allies and enemies.
For pure gameplay, Persona 5 Tactica is described as a turn-based strategy game similar to the XCOM series, where players can choose from various attacks and skills against their enemies. However, instead of using guns and grenades, the Phantom Thieves have their signature weapons and Personas. In short, a whole program to discover on Xbox Game Pass for free. For the rest we find:
