a new platform to more easily contest fines

The Interministerial Delegation for Road Safety has just put a new site online to guide motorists. The latter can obtain information or contest decisions concerning his driving licence.

A new website launched by the Interministerial Delegation for Road Safety allowing in particular to contest a fine has just been put online, reports Le Figaro this Monday, March 21. This is to facilitate procedures and complaints concerning the driving licence.

Supporting documents to be sent

To carry out its approach to recourse.permisdeconduire.gouv.fr, it is not necessary to create a personal account. The motorist is guided according to four propositions: contesting an infraction or a decision; a disagreement on the balance of points; obtain permit information or obtain a document.

The platform then guides the user according to his case. It can be sent to another department or make a claim directly online. In this case, supporting documents may be requested (marital status, postal address, email, driving licence, notice of violation, etc.).

The decision sent by mail

For each procedure carried out, the applicant receives an email containing an acknowledgment of receipt, but the decision is sent by post. It will sometimes be necessary to be patient, but the interministerial delegation for road safety is committed: the National Office for Driving Rights (BNDC) has two months to respond.

The site also offers practical links to consult your points balance on the driving license or the scale of points withdrawn. On the home page, you can also find a section Info or intox? which makes it possible to take stock of road legislation and the false ideas circulating about it.
