However, participants can continue to complete the challenge to obtain various rewards without being able to recapture the Pokémon. So you can’t really be a loser and you always have something to sink your teeth into.
For those looking to add to their collection without using Pokémon HOME or purchasing the Zone Zero Buried Treasures DLC, this event is the only legitimate method to obtain Laggron in Pokémon Scarlet and Purple. This is reminiscent of previous Strong Starter Pokémon raids, where similar opportunities were offered.
