A new project in preparation!

Surprise, one of the Dragon Ball Super license managers announced that a new project is currently being prepared. What could it be?

It was during an interview with the Japanese magazine V Jump that Akio Iyoku, one of the development managers of the Dragon Ball Super license confirmed that a new DBS project is already in the works. We can find part of the ITV via the Twitter account of a license fan.

A Dragon Ball Interview

What are your plans now that DBS: Super Hero is out in Japan?

DBS Super Hero is not a film that was designed solely for Japan and its audience. Dragon Ball is a work of which Japan is very proud. We’re also going to release it in America this summer. And then since you ask… A new project is in preparation. The DBS Super Hero movie took us 5 years to work on so it’s normal that we’re already starting to work on what happens next (laughs). Toriyama-sensei himself is continually developing DB projects. We all think about what we want to show the world afterwards.

We can without getting too wet count on a return of the DB Super anime even if in the interview, the man does not specify if it is a new film (the third derivative of DB Super) or the return of the anime series in question which has been on hiatus since March 2018.

For the record, Dragon Ball Super is the direct sequel to Dragon Ball Z, the adaptation of Akira Toriyama’s manga, which is also quoted in the interview.
