LEGO continues to amaze its community and has just unveiled a new set that will charm nostalgic fans and video game fans. Another masterstroke from the Danish company?
LEGO is trying to appeal to a wide audience by collaborating with numerous franchises. In addition to classics such as Star Wars, Jurassic Park and Harry Potter, over time, the company has developed sets representing various major worlds of pop culture. This includes the world of video games, as it does this time around. We know that between LEGO and the video game world, it has always been a great love story.
LEGO hits hard, as always
LEGO has officially announced the release of a new set based on the Sonic universe, specifically the Knuckles Guardian Mech, scheduled for January 2024. This set joins LEGO’s growing collection inspired by video game characters, especially after the success of the Super Mario and Animal Crossing sets.
The Knuckles Guardian Mech set, priced at 34.99 euros, includes 276 pieces and features the famous echidna Knuckles in his own mecha, as well as Rouge’s bat glider. The Knuckles minifigure can be placed inside the mecha, which is designed to be fully posable, allowing you to recreate battle scenes against Rouge or other LEGO characters. Red, with her bat glider, is also included in the set. Note that the centerpiece of the set, the robot, still measures 16 cm high.
It is interesting to note that the Sonic LEGO collection originally started as a proposal on the Lego Ideas platform. It now includes characters like Sonic, Tails, Amy, Shadow, Knuckles and Rouge. After the recent release of the Shadow’s Escape set, the addition of Knuckles and Rouge marks a significant expansion of this Lego universe.

The Knuckles Guardian Mech set will be available on January 1, 2024 at a price of 34.99 euros. Although slightly more expensive than the Shadow’s Escape set, it offers more pieces and play possibilities. For those also looking for scenery, there are reproductions of Sonic levels. They are certainly more expensive, but they allow you to create real decorative pieces for fans of the blue hedgehog. There is even a trap system to create small scenarios and several characters per set. Including the very charismatic Robotnik. There will definitely be a choice for Christmas in terms of the LEGO universe. Enough to turn the heads of those who appreciate even a little the old SEGA mascots.
