Dragon Ball Daima finally gives some news and obviously the fans are happy. It remains quite light but nonetheless very appreciable for fans of the franchise.
Toei Animation and Shonen Jump have finally revealed new visuals for the highly anticipated Dragon Ball Daima anime series, set to release in fall 2024. The new artwork, previewed ahead of this year’s Jump Victory Carnival, is generating a lot of interest among fans of the franchise. It still smells pretty good!
Dragon Ball Daima reveals new artwork
The newly revealed illustration shows a child Goku surrounded by Dragon Balls, wearing a determined expression and holding his famous magic staff, the Power Pole. This visual, broadcast in the form of an original office mat, is one of the many new features that Jump Victory Carnival participants will be able to discover on July 21, 2024 in Chiba, near Tokyo.
This year’s Jump Victory Carnival (JVC) promises to be full of surprises for manga and anime fans. In addition to the Dragon Ball Daima desk mat, participants will receive various exclusive goodies, such as a One Piece picnic set, a Mission: Yozakura Family fan, My Hero Academia stickers, playing cards, postcards , And much more. The event will also feature major Jump announcements, photo spots, an open access manga library, signing sessions with popular artists, and of course, plenty of cosplay.
Although the new artwork sparked excitement, some fans expressed criticism on social media, accusing Toei Animation of not promoting the Dragon Ball Daima series enough. They particularly deplore the lack of diversity in the promotional visuals, with the latest poster being considered too similar to the previous ones. This lack of novelty has led to concerns about the quality and originality of the series.
Despite these criticisms, the Dragon Ball franchise continues to benefit from significant promotion through various initiatives. An upcoming theme park in Saudi Arabia is evidence of the continued enthusiasm for the universe created by Akira Toriyama. In May, Falcon’s Creative Group even released the first behind-the-scenes images of the design of this park.
