Telltale returns and offers a wonderful gift to fans of The Wolf Among Us 2 with exclusive previews of the game. Watch out, it’s a thing of beauty!
The Wolf Among Us 2 is one of those games that is created with pain. The title visibly came close to cancellation before being saved. At the same time, Telltale Games shut down and was later relaunched by members of the original team. Good news for the project, but only in appearance. In 2019, after two years of development, the app was restarted from scratch due to an engine change. The old one, which suffered from many problems, was abandoned in favor of the Unreal Engine. And we must believe that this choice was more than judicious.
New shots for The Wolf Among Us 2
Will The Wolf Among Us 2 be available in 2024 on consoles and PC? A few days ago, the studio reassured about the release of its game by indicating that it was “still in development at Telltale”. It’s light after so much waiting, but the developers were not spared. Without being able to confirm a launch this year, or even provide a gameplay trailer, the teams still communicated through their forums. And rather than making a simple, somewhat sad statement, the few words addressed are accompanied by new images of The Wolf Among Us 2.
“We’ve been quiet because we’ve been focused on the promise of The Wolf Among Us 2. While we can’t bring you any big news yet, here’s a little something for you. Non-final images of the current version of the game. Work continues. The Fabletown gang will be back. Thanks for being fans! » declares the studio in the Telltale community forums. The gameplay will have to wait, however.
As a reminder, this sequel takes place six months after the first episode, in New York City, in the middle of winter. If nothing has changed, the game will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One and PC. The previous adventure was a success, and Telltale therefore has no room for error. Even more so after the setbacks experienced by part of the remaining team.
