Returning to her position as presenter of the 1 p.m. television news on TF1, succeeding Jean-Pierre Pernaut since 2020, Marie-Sophie Lacarrau wanted to salute an emblematic figure of the channel.
An important departure could not go unnoticed: Marie-Sophie Lacarrauended his diary of October 14, after a few weeks of absence for health reasons, by announcing the departure of one of the emblematic figures of the chain in order to wish him the “best” for his new adventures.
“We part with a nod to our colleague and friend”
The one leaving TF1 is none other than Caroline Henry, present on the channel for 25 years as editor-in-chief of the newspaper but also a sports journalist. “And we leave each other with a nod to our colleague and friend Caroline Henry, concluded Marie-Sophie Lacarrau, we chose Michel Sardou, her favorite singer, as background music, Caroline will have spoken to you about sport for years, passionate , she knew how to make you experience major events. 25 years spent at TF1 and LCI” before adding “We wish him the best.”
Always attentive and caring towards others, Marie-Sophie Lacarrau never forgot to pay tribute to JJean-Pierre Pernaut to whom she succeeded after he officiated for 33 years at the presentation of the 1 p.m. newspaper on TF1, as she did after his death, which occurred last March. “Jean-Pierre was also that, an extremely benevolent man. And I managed to take over from him in a unique way in this world of television. For months we worked together and at the time I was asked “So what advice does he give you? But no, Jean-Pierre didn’t give advice. Jean-Pierre, he shared, he exchanged and we fed on that. So I can’t thank him enough for his support .”
