A OnePlus 10T would be in preparation, the range seems to no longer make sense

It seems that OnePlus is launching a OnePlus 10T in 5G this year after releasing the OnePlus 10 Pro. If rumors are to be believed, the brand is skipping the base version 10.

If we knew of the existence of a OnePlus 10 Ultra via rumors only, it would seem that its commercial name is ultimately not this one, but OnePlus 10T. Earlier in the year, OnePlus had released its 10 Pro smartphone, without releasing 10 at all. A flagship which could therefore be replaced by the end of the year by a T version, which would lose the suffix “ Pro “.

OnePlus would release a single flagship before 2023

It’s the leaker Max Jambor, who leaked two OnePlus foldables, revealed that the brand was also working on a 10T.

Final name of the next and only flagship phone coming this year: OnePlus 10T 5G

This is XDA Developers who spotted the tweet and who adds that if a OnePlus 10 at all (the “ short is not part of the phone’s name) was spotted, it was never confirmed. It is possible that this OnePlus 10 never exists, in favor of the 10T.

If this hypothesis is possible, it disrupts the strategy put in place by the brand last year, where the OnePlus 8T, 9 and 9 Pro did not leave room for a T version. Remember that, traditionally, the versions ” T are improvements to the base version… which doesn’t exist this year (unless it’s actually a OnePlus 10T Pro). Suffice to say that the range is not really very clear.

An Ultra model had however leaked, but according to Max Jambor, there would be no such model in development. Moreover, the 10T would be the only flagship of the brand to be released until the end of the year. Presumably this 10T would actually be the Ultra that had been spotted, but renamed. According XDA Developers, this OnePlus 10T (with 5G) will be equipped with Qualcomm’s latest SoC, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. We know that OnePlus is one of the first manufacturers to integrate the Qualcomm chip into their smartphones. We can also expect wired fast charging up to 150 W on the 10T on this OnePlus smartphone.
