Rewind presents an AI-based connected pendant. This records and summarizes in writing all the information spoken during the day.

The race for new uses of artificial intelligence continues at a frenetic pace. An idea that was as intriguing and interesting as it was scary recently emerged from the company that developed the Rewind AI application. Until now, the latter was responsible for collecting all the data entered on a daily basis by a user on their computer in order to act as a second memory and find any forgotten information.

Automatically summarize all exchanges of the day

Rewind AI aims to go beyond the dematerialized frontier and unveils a connected pendant. This is designed to record all the sentences spoken and heard by the individual wearing it, acting as a second brain for memorizing information. The recordings will then be summarized in writing and can be found using the application’s search system. To maintain a certain data security framework, the recordings would be encrypted and stored locally on the user’s smartphone.

This idea could be strongly appreciated by certain audiences, even if the notion of artificial intelligence implies data processing in the cloud.

In the legislative register, Rewind AI announced the presence of functionalities intended to guarantee that no individual will be recorded without their consent. To do this, the company specifies that its connected system will be able to detect the voiceprint of its wearer.

For professionals and improving the daily lives of certain patients

This new connected object could find its users among certain professionals. We will think of engineers who could reproduce the conditions of the sudden appearance of a computer bug, or of salespeople, to remember important information for a prospect.

More generally, the Rewind pendant would prove useful for all individuals with more or less significant memory problems. In this sense, the company itself specifies that its system is adapted for certain situations to people with ADHD.

Is this innovative pendant powered by AI a pioneer of the future, or is it one of the harbingers of technological excesses? Only the future will tell us.
