This time, the scene took place in the Bottière district, agitated by two episodes of gunfire in recent days. Monday evening, shortly after 8 p.m., during an intervention also linked to an urban rodeo “with motocross”the police were attacked. “At the time of the arrest, the police were taken to task and had to use MP7 grenades (tear gas canisters, Editor’s note) to get away”indicates to Figaro the departmental directorate of public security (DDSP).

A man in custody

The member of a crew was particularly affected “on the thigh” by projectiles. The nature of his injuries is not known. “The administrative vehicle was also the subject of projectile impacts”, mentions the DDSP. During the intervention of the police, an individual was arrested and taken into custody. This is a man who “would be 22 years old” and whose identity is “unconfirmed” For now.

In Nantes, the Waldeck-Rousseau central police station has a “rodeo cell” to fight against this scourge, which is also being fought by the government. As a reminder, participants in an urban rodeo risk one to five years in prison and a fine of €15,000 to €75,000, depending on the circumstances.
