A portion of the A13 motorway blocked in both directions between Paris and Normandy until Monday

The Ile-de-France roads department (Dirif) announcedFriday April 19, having decided to completely close a portion of the A13 motorway after detecting “infrastructure problems on the roadway between the viaduct and the Saint-Cloud tunnel”. The two directions of traffic between the Paris ring road and the town of Vaucresson (Hauts-de-Seine), at the A86 duplex, are no longer accessible to vehicles.

The Hauts-de-Seine prefecture announced, at the start of the evening, that the motorway would remain closed between Paris and Vaucresson, in both directions, until Monday inclusive. “Depending on the results of this monitoring, a reopening of the A13 could be considered during next week”, she clarified. Information will be communicated at the end of Monday on the evolution of the situation.

“During the night” from Thursday to Friday, “and during a scheduled closure of the motorway for works, a transverse crack in the A13 in the Saint-Cloud sector was observed”explained the prefecture, in a press release.

“Field movement”

This crack “runs along the end of the insertion ramp and crosses the A13 towards Saint-Cloud park, with a depth of 50 to 80 centimeters depending on the location”she adds. “This situation is the result of a movement on the ground, the causes of which are currently being diagnosed. It also caused cracks in a sewerage structure located 4 meters deep under the motorway.explained the prefecture.

“It is necessary to analyze this problem in order to determine the work to be carried out and then estimate when traffic can be restored”had written the Dirif in an alert broadcast on the real-time traffic consultation platform Sytadinbefore issuing advice to motorists: “If possible, postpone your travel or avoid the area. »

Alternative solutions are proposed by the organization to avoid this transition:

  • to reach Paris from Rocquencourt, take the A12 and the N 12 towards Versailles, then towards Paris via the Porte de Saint-Cloud (N 118);
  • To reach Paris from Bois-d’Arcy take the N 12 towards Versailles, then towards Paris via the Porte de Saint-Cloud (N 118).
  • All users are also strongly advised to avoid the closed sector and to take alternative routes as far upstream as possible (A15 or A86).
