A QR hiding the release date of Splatoon 3 in the latest trailer?

A Nintendo Direct took place yesterday and during it, Splatoon 3 took a dip and showed us its Salmon Run mode and the novelties that will be brought by this opus. However, this is not the subject of this news. Let’s go back to the 55th second of the trailer instead. Can’t see anything? At first glance, this image is quite innocuous but yet if we zoom in at the top left (just next to 0/15), it is possible to see a QR Code.

A QR Code revealing the release date?

Of course, this QR Code cannot be scanned given its size and the quality of the zoomed image. On reddit, some users still tried to recreate the QR Code or recover it to scan it and by scanning it, the date of August 18, 2022 appeared. Could this be a possible release date for Splatoon 3? This is something conceivable since the game is scheduled for this summer. Be careful though, although this date is discovered via a QR Code, the scanned QR Code is not 100% corresponding to the QR Code of the trailer, which means that, of course, there are some in the trailer but no, it does not necessarily disclose the date of August 18, 2022. And if you want to check for yourself, here is the QR Code of the trailer and that of the video.
