AMD is looking to keep pace with NVIDIA and get out of graphics cards at the same time as the RTX SUPER is important.

In recent weeks, there has been a lot of talk about the revival of the GeForce RTX 40 series range with the SUPER cards. However, AMD is not standing still.

Several rumors actually suggest the arrival of new Radeon RXs a little later. To advance the “7600” proposal, an XT version would be planned for the end of January.

A Radeon RX 7600 XT based on Navi 32

Last May, we were able to get our hands on the Radeon RX 7600, an entry-level model. Nice, the card however created a very large gap with the other models of the RDNA 3 generation.

Three months later, AMD partly filled this vast gap between the RX 7600 and the RX 7900 XT / 7900XTX with two other cards: the Radeon RX 7700 XT and 7800 XT. However, the AMD catalog remains largely incomplete with still notable gaps and an insufficient “low price” offering.

According to the information relayed by our colleagues at Wccftech, a new Radeon should make things even better. An RX 7600 XT which would strengthen the entry-level offer.

RX 7700 and RX 7800 to close RDNA 3?

At the moment, however, there are still a lot of unknowns around this card – or even these cards – whose release is scheduled for the beginning of next year, at the end of January.

For example, we do not know if AMD plans to equip it with 10 GB of video memory, to increase to 12 GB or to release two versions. In addition, AMD cannot rely on the Navi 33 GPU already used to its full potential (2,048 cores) on the Radeon RX 7600: it is hard to see the American firm being satisfied with an increase in frequency. Everything therefore suggests that an even smaller version of the Navi 32 GPU would be at work this time.

Finally, let us note these documents from the EEC (Eurasian Economic Commission) – the certification body of the Eurasian Economic Commission, based in Moscow – which reports two Radeons to close the RDNA 3 line-up: the Radeon RX 7700 and RX 7800, without the “XT” therefore. Such cards would therefore be intermediates to the models already tested in September, but the EEC sometimes lists products which never arrive. So be careful.
