The murderer had been wanted for more than 30 years
At the time of the broadcast of Everyone wants to take its place, François Vérove had been wanted by the authorities for more than 35 years. While he was preparing to be unmasked in 2021 following a long investigation, he finally decided to commit suicide. His body was found in an Airbnb in Grau-du-Roi (Gard), on September 29, very close toa confession letter in which he confessed to his crimes.
This case resurfaces as the disappearance of Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès occupies the media space with the release of a book dedicated to him and linked to his flight after the murder of his wife and four children in 2011. It is his sister Christine Dupont de Ligonnès who is the author, with her husband, and in the various interviews she has just given to Léa Salamé (What an era!)
