After testing the Huawei P60 Pro for a month, a reader gives us a video of his feelings on this new premium smartphone. Check out his track record.
It was on May 9 that Huawei formalized its P60 Pro in France. A resolutely high-end smartphone that we sent to three Frandroid readers. The goal? Collect your impressions of the Chinese brand’s latest photophone.
After several weeks of getting started, our three readers shared their experience with us, detailing what they believe to be the strengths and limitations of this high-end terminal. Lucas even visited our studio to draw his conclusions on video.
Is he really a photography champion?
If the Huawei brand enjoys a good reputation, it is above all for the excellent photo quality of its smartphones. But what about the brand new Huawei P60 Pro? We gave the floor to Lucas to find out if this model lives up to its technical specifications and if it stands out as a reference photophone, like its predecessors.
The young man also takes advantage of this speech to explain to us the specificities of the interface of the Huawei P60 Pro. As a reminder, the smartphone does not naturally benefit from Google services. It works with an open source version of Android specific to Huawei, EMUI, here in version 13.1.
However, it is easy to take advantage of the most common applications of the moment, even those of Google. Solutions like Petal Search, the AppGallery or GSpace offer a large catalog of apps.

The main technical characteristics of the P60 Pro
On the hardware side, the Huawei P60 Pro has a solid technical sheet, with the best components that can currently be found.
It starts with the screen. Huawei has chosen a large 6.67-inch LPTO OLED panel with a beautiful definition of 2700 × 1220 pixels. Inside, we find the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, supported by 8 to 12 GB of RAM, but limited to 4G connectivity due to the embargo.
While this SoC is known for its low power consumption, Huawei has still provided a large 4,815 mAh battery at the heart of its P60 Pro. This is compatible with 88W ultra-fast charging, as well as 50W wireless charging. Ten minutes of charging at full power saves 50% more battery.
Finally, it is on the photography side that the Huawei P60 Pro expresses itself best. A total of four cameras equip it:
- a 48-megapixel main sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS);
- a second 13-megapixel sensor for ultra-wide-angle shooting;
- a third 48-megapixel sensor with OIS, having a telephoto function and being able to zoom x3.5 in optical, as well as x100 in digital;
- a 13-megapixel front camera.
