The City of Paris unveiled on Monday January 8 the plaque for rue David-Bowie, in 13e district, the day of 77e birthday of the legendary musician who died in 2016.
“Long live rock, long live pop, long live David Bowie and long live Paris!” »launched Jérôme Coumet, the mayor of the district, by unveiling the name plaque, alongside those close to the artist, including the designer Agnès B., who dressed him “for twenty-five years”. This initiative was launched by Jérôme Coumet, a Bowie fan, who obtained approval from the Paris Council in February 2020 to name a street in the star’s name.
