A season 13 for Clem? Carole Richert gives an update on the future of the series

In this episode of Camping Paradis, entitled Le Paradis de Leela – to see Monday June 20 on TF1 at 9:10 p.m. – she plays the governess of an Indian princess who arrives at the campsite. Carole Richert thus moves away from the role of Marie-France that she has held in Clem for twelve seasons.

What kind of woman is Suzanne, your character?

Carol Richert: She’s a replacement mother for Leela! She sacrificed her life to take care of this young princess whose parents entrusted her with the education. She is afraid to see her escape him. She has principles and her fears make her tough.

We are far from the role of Marie-France in Clem… Is a season 13 planned?

It’s still early to tell. As I speak to you, we don’t know. It’s a bit like that at the end of each season. And there, even more with the international context. Everything can move very quickly. I think that TF1 is still keen on this series, even if it no longer reaches the scores of the beginnings. It is in any case very followed in replay.

In season 12, which we saw in April, Marie-France takes her destiny into her own hands. Isn’t this also what pleases you at the moment in your life?

She is thriving. She wants so much to have fun that she becomes a model! I am like her, mature. Now I let things go. I’m less in the “must” than before. If a project doesn’t get done, it doesn’t matter. Another will come.

Did you raise your children, Pauline, 26, and Vincent, 22, in this state of mind?

Totally! I taught them to be closer to what they are, I bring them back to themselves. Their life should not look like those we see on social networks, this funny virtual double life. There are good sides to social media. I play it too. But it creates frustration.

Did their father Daniel Rialet (father and mayor) who died in 2006 at age 46, told them the same thing?

He spoke and always spoke to them with great simplicity. They inherited his qualities. Their father was never in a bad mood. He had a certain naivety; he managed to glimpse poetry everywhere.

When will your participation in other TF1 series or soap operas, such as tomorrow belongs to us or Here it all starts?

I’m not in that rhythm. Because it requires a lot of investment to shoot on a daily basis. I just finished Blank Zonea season 7 episode of Cassandra for France 3. I also have a theater project. But currently, I especially want to write.
