The film 365 Dni continues to be talked about. A while ago, we told you about this film broadcast on Netflix. If he tells an unusual love story and he met with great success on the streaming platform, we deplored the way in which 365 Dni contributed to an alarming rape culture. The film, chaining scenes of sexual assault and not taking into account the consent of the female character during a good part thus generated an unprecedented controversy. The main actor of the film had even expressed himself on this subject, recalling that he had nothing in common with Massimo, his character in the Polish feature film.

For the moment, the streaming platform Netflix has not expressed itself about the controversy that has been triggered following the broadcast of this disturbing film. But the actors did not hesitate to speak via their Instagram account in order to interact with their fans. Recently, Anna-Maria Sieklucka, Laura's interpreter, and her co-star Magdalena Lamparska, who plays Olga, spoke about a possible sequel to 365 Dni. If Netflix has not mentioned the possibility of making this film available on its streaming platform, the Polish production seems in any case launched to offer a second component to fans. In a live Instagram, Anna-Maria Sieklucka expressed herself on the following: "We will not be able to tour abroad this year because of the pandemic. You will have to be patient and wait. It will probably be next year. We don't know yet exactly when we can start shooting. " The actress who plays her best friend on screen also confirmed that a sequel was underway but that the health crisis was slowing the production of this second part: "Everything has been stopped and the situation is the same in all countries. The film industry is frozen. A trip to another country, and more particularly to Italy, would be too risky for the Polish team at the moment."

The critics and all the issues raised by this Polish film therefore do not seem to stop the production of the screen adaptations of the literary saga. However, 365 Dni seems to glorify a toxic relationship and trivialize violence against women, forgiving the sexist and dangerous acts of Massimo because of his dream plastic. The announcement of this second part therefore poses a real problem, fearing a sequel which, once again, could well idealize toxic masculinity.
