a sneak peek before the official announcement

Curiosity can sometimes precede the official announcement. Faced with leaks, Peugeot has taken the lead by lifting the veil on some facets of its new e-3008.

Faced with leaks, Peugeot is aligning itself with the current trend, like Google and its Pixel 8 / 8 Pro, and giving us a glimpse of its future model, the e-3008. Although the official announcement is expected for September 12, what we have been able to glean from this model bodes well for an impressive development.

A dedicated electrical platform for optimized performance

The flagship new feature is undoubtedly the adoption of the STLA Medium platform for this e-3008. By opting for a platform developed specifically for electric vehicles, Peugeot guarantees increased performance and efficiency. We expect a range of up to 700 km for the version with the largest battery. This technical choice not only represents a technological advance, but marks a turning point in Peugeot’s strategy: the electric is clearly (finally) at the center of concerns.

A clear design for a strong identity

The first thing that jumps out at you with these first images is the design of this new e-3008. It really has its own identity. The current model of the 3008, already decided, seems to have been pushed even further. The fastback SUV style is indeed reminiscent of the lines of the new 408, with a notable evolution.

The split headlights evoke current trends from brands like Citroën and Hyundai. This division is accentuated by a black lacquered band which creates a link between the different light elements. The pattern of vertical light claws adds a touch of originality, while bringing coherence to the whole.

The triangular rear part also marks a break with the past. The absence of a traditional emblem is compensated by the discreet but clear presence of the “e-3008” logo, a reminder of the model’s electrical identity.

A revised cockpit

Since June, we know that the future 3008 will feature a brand new “Panoramic i-Cockpit” which promises to revolutionize the onboard experience. Featuring a 21-inch panel, this cockpit is a strong statement from Peugeot. The comparison with the 17 inches of the Tesla Model S says a lot about the ambition of the French manufacturer.

This i-Cockpit combines two screens for an immersive experience. Ergonomics are also on the agenda with optimal positioning for the driver and tactile i-Toggles for intuitive use.

The Peugeot e-3008, whose official announcement is on September 12, already promises to make an impression. With its design, its dedicated electric technology and a revised cockpit, Peugeot intends to overshadow Renault’s new Scénic E-Tech. After the e-3008, it is the e-5008 which will follow this trend during its future release.
