To help the medical profession, initiatives in various fields are multiplying. IT developers are developing, thanks to their digital genius, applications to facilitate the tasks of caregivers and emergency services. Meeting with Sébastien Letélié, CEO of the company "Health Factory", specialized in health technologies.

Provide technological solutions to help fight Covid-19. This is the idea of the company "Health Factory ", in times of health crisis. The latter, organizes every year since 2014, an event called "hackathon" (contraction of "hackers", in the sense of solving a problem, and "marathon"), which brings together a large number of developers and caregivers. The goal ? Cohesively create software and applications for the health sector. "Emy ", a connected perineal reeducation probe, for example, was created thanks to this appointment. In view of the current situation, "Health Factory ", therefore launched, as exceptional a "hackathon", says "Hacking Covid-19", online, in an attempt to stem the congestion of the health system by victims of the coronavirus. To find out more about this great initiative, meet Sébastien Letélié, CEO of the Strasbourg company "Health Factory".

With your means, what can you bring to health personnel?

Sébastien Letélié : In our community, we have many doctors who share with us their current problems. For example, the Samu, called us to ask us to find a solution to the centralization of the instructions on the coronavirus. Indeed, the 15th has no tools to centralize this health information which evolves over time, to disseminate it quickly and simply to a person who calls. We have therefore developed an application which enables emergency physicians at the Samu to send detailed instructions tailored to the patients who call them by e-mail. The regulator will therefore ask basic questions, and if it is not serious, he will say: follow the instructions, I will send them to you by sms.
The instruction is thus to be viewed via a link. It is therefore the same for everyone. It is standardized, but while following the type of person who calls like a pregnant woman for example. There is no longer any risk of being wrong or that the person on the other end of the line forgets what has been advised.
It is an aid which saves approximately five minutes per call. It's considerable!

Is the digital world a very important support in this crisis?

Sébastien Letélié : The application is a good example. The idea is above all to unload the tasks of health professionals by giving them tools that will allow them to better organize on a daily basis. We also help doctors centralize medical protocols, which change in real time. Instead of specialists sending emails to the right and left, we find solutions to help them. These are simple things if you look at it, but the caregivers don't have time to do it right now. Digital is there to structure things and make life easier.
