Despite the American embargo, Huawei continues to innovate and will soon unveil its new P70 range. We know, roughly, what to expect.
Since the American embargo, Huawei smartphones have been almost absent from the French market.
However, the Chinese brand is making a comeback in China, gaining market share and offering devices that are still technically impressive. Nothing says that Huawei could not also return to Europe in the future.
According to the latest leaks, the Huawei P70, P70 Pro, P70 Pro+ and P70 Art Edition would be officially presented next week. Although this information should still be taken with a grain of salt, it gives a glimpse of what the Chinese brand has in store for us.
According to rumors, Huawei’s new smartphones would be based on three cameras arranged in the shape of a play button. The Art Edition would once again rely on a back with an atypical pattern, which should also score points in the new model thanks to relatively new materials or manufacturing processes.
For the moment, it is rumored that the four models would be equipped with a 5G compatible HiSilicon Kirin 9000S chip, a bright LTPO OLED screen with 3,000 nits peak, a 13 megapixel selfie camera with a sensor of 1 /2.36 inches and a battery with 88 watts of wired fast charging. Wireless fast charging would be limited to 50 watts for the base model and 80 watts for the three most expensive models.
An ever more efficient camera system
The strong point of the Huawei P series has traditionally been the camera system, and the P70 would be no exception.
The Huawei P70 Pro+ and Huawei P70 Art Edition are said to have a 50-megapixel main camera with a 1-inch Sony IMX989, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with a 1/2.55-inch Sony IMX858 sensor and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with the same sensor, 4x zoom and macro function.
