Whereas Yu Gi Oh! Master Duel has just been released on all platforms, the game was released particularly successful, rising to the top of the rankings, for only its first week.
The game, released on January 19, quickly experienced a massive influx. Here we are witnessing a very good release for the Konami title (which we tested here), even if the latter receives some reviews especially on Steam. On this same platform, however, the game has quickly propelled to the top of the rankings, even reaching the top 5 games with the most players connected simultaneously, ahead of many big titles, like GTA V or even Monster Hunter Rise. In fact, the game quickly surpassed the 150,000 people connected mark and is currently in 5th place in the Steam rankings with 230,000 connected players.
Despite some negative reviews, Konami’s game was still generally well received by players, and it shows in its numbers. So it’s a success for Konami, only question being, will it continue? Yu Gi Oh! Master Duel is available for free since this Wednesday on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and Switch.
