The next generation of Google Pixel may well land with a brand new feature. At least, exclusively for its top model.

While your Pixel will soon be able to serve as a dashcam, Google continues to work on new features for its smartphones.

Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro: formalization at the start of the next school year

Last week, Google lifted the lid on its upcoming devices. The latter also took the opportunity to present his new technologies, the latter being moreover very often attached directly or indirectly to artificial intelligence. If we were therefore able to learn more about the Pixel 7a and Pixel Fold, the American giant obviously kept a few cartridges under the elbow. Indeed, not a word has been said about the new smartphone models coming next fall, namely the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro.

Some time ago, however, we had already been able to get a glimpse of what the future high-end of Google could hold for us. But, obviously, these first leaks were not enough to satisfy everyone. So here is for you (and just for you) a brand new leak, this time concerning one of the exclusive features of the Pixel 8 Pro.

The Pixel 8 Pro would have a built-in thermometer

According to a video shared by the media 91mobileswhich was then relayed by our colleagues on the site Engadget, we can catch a glimpse of the Pixel 8 Pro in action. And more precisely acting as a… thermometer. Yes, you are not dreaming, the next flagship Google should indeed have a thermometer capable of taking your body temperature. To do this, users only have to place their device as close as possible to their forehead, without touching it, and then move it to their temple, all within 5 seconds.

Note that people wearing glasses will obviously have to remove them for the operation to work properly. If you ask how it works, you might notice the presence of an infrared sensor built into the back of the device, this being housed alongside the rear cameras of the Pixel 8 Pro. If this remains to be confirmed, 91mobiles further indicated that the feature could also be used to measure the temperature of certain objects.

Google Pixel 7 Pro

  • Its value for money
  • A successful and premium design
  • A superb bright screen

2021 will have been a good Pixel vintage, 2022 really is just as much. Without revolutionizing its formula, Google manages to refine it in order to offer a complete smartphone without major defects. More premium in its design, certainly, the Pixel 7 Pro is one of those phones that amaze, and clash, as soon as you put it on a table. With its superb bright screen and its new Sensor G2 chip, it is ready to entertain you long, wide and across. In terms of photography, he keeps his crown on Android. Zoom, wide-angle sensor, portrait, “Night” mode, ergonomics… It surpasses all the competition. Only Apple continues to stand up to it. Only complaint, too bad it is not as good in video as in photo. However, we trust Google to keep improving its copy.

Finally, its only Achilles’ heel could come from its charging, which is too slow and its autonomy, which is satisfactory, but not exceptional, especially when used in strong light.

Anyway, with its new flagship, Google responds perfectly to our initial questioning. Yes, it is possible to offer a complete and ultra-premium smartphone under the 1,000 euro mark. The Pixel 7 Pro is proof of that.
