According to preliminary information, the new iPad entry-level should benefit from some significant changes.

While iOS 16 continues to reveal its secrets to us, the apple brand is also working on its famous touch tablets. On the program of the day, new information around the future generation of iPad.

The iPad of 10e generation unfolds

The information comes to us directly from the media 9to5Mac. This year, the entry-level iPad model should benefit from some notable changes compared to the previous model, starting with the integration of a USB-C port. Thus, it will join its big brothers, the iPad Pro, the iPad Air as well as the iPad Mini, which are already equipped with it. Remember also that, recently, the European Union signed the end of the Lightning port.

And since good news never comes alone, the iPad of 10e generation will also have a Retina display equivalent to that of the iPad Air in terms of resolution. This new iPad should also grow a little, going from 10.2 inches to 10.5 inches (or maybe even 10.9 inches). Note, however, that it will not benefit from the DCI-P3 color range and higher brightness, which is obviously reserved for the most expensive models.

Finally, the tablet will benefit from 5G compatibility and will be equipped with the A14 Bionic chip, which should bring a performance gain of around 30% compared to the previous generation model. To date, no information has been released about a possible design overhaul, although this iPad is expected by the end of the year.
