What if a Fallout 4 remaster were to see the light of day? We have an idea of what it could look like visually, and it’s a slap in the face. It would be perfect to wait for the fifth opus.
Fallout is one of Bethesda’s big titles. Unfortunately, it is better to be patient before having news of the 5. The latter will not be released for – at least – a few years. So you don’t have to be in a hurry. In the meantime, could a remaster of the fourth opus be put together? For the moment, it’s not sure, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t have an idea of the outcome. This is what a YouTube channel wanted to show us, and be careful, it’s eye-popping.

We owe this rather special video to Digital Dreams. Here, Fallout 4 has been stuffed with mods, with a number that exceeds 300. So, don’t expect visuals similar to those of the base game. We are far from it, and that is normal. In this case, the biggest improvement, at least the one that is most highlighted, is the addition of ray tracing. In the present case, we are dealing with “ Complete Ray Tracing shader preset » which we owe to the user Nice Guy. If you are interested, we prefer to warn you, you have to put your hand in your wallet.
Whether it’s lighting, reflections or other parameters like ambient occlusion, it’s simply magnificent. In addition, we can enjoy it thanks to an 8K video, and it will make many people dream. Particularly for ray tracing, since Fallout 4 will certainly not have the right to it anytime soon. That said, Bethesda is still working on the next update which will be granted for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of the game. However, on this side, the future is not all rosy. At least, for the moment, since there is no need to be in a hurry.
The update on PS4 and PS5 postponed
In fact, the graphics update was finally pushed back to 2024, without further details. Here is what we could read: “Thank you for your patience while we work on the Fallout 4 next-gen update. We know you’re as excited as we are! But we need a little more time and look forward to returning to the Commonwealth in 2024”. All that remains is to hope that it will be deployed in parallel with the arrival of the series on Prime Video on April 12, 2024. In any case, it is clear that the license is not ready to pass the weapon on the left.
