In Bordeaux, a waiter made sexist remarks towards a client. When the latter retorted, he allegedly threw hot dishwater at her.

On the night of Monday to Tuesday, a student had an altercation with a waiter at the Régent restaurant near the Grand Théâtre in Bordeaux. "Are you naked under your dress?" This is the question that the waiter would have asked the young woman, Elsa, who subsequently retorted. She decides, in fact, to alert the manager of the restaurant, who follows up on her, using a joke of humor. Elsa therefore returns to see the waiter to ask him to apologize, which he refuses. She throws a glass of water in his face, claiming that it is also a joke on his part. The waiter then pours him a tub of hot dishwater. On Facebook, the young girl recounts her ordeal: "There were three metal trays on the bar and he threw them at me. He aimed at me but he didn't get me, it landed on the wall. There was a tub with hot water, I think for washing the dishes, he knocked it over on me! I was soaked from head to toe! And he hit me on the upper lip."

The boss of the Regent, in Bordeaux, spoke about this through a press release on Facebook. He explains : "I have daughters who are still very young, they are 7 and 10 years old but one day or another they will be bigger and I would not want that to happen! So already as a father it gives me the ball in the stomach and then to hear what could have happened at home very sincerely makes me sick! " The waiter has been laid off and Elisa now intends to file a complaint.
