A war filled with the spirit of revenge

Dhe war has returned to Europe and roused us from our sleep. Who would have thought it possible a few days ago that Russia’s president would give orders not only to attack Ukraine but also to occupy it, for the sole purpose of removing a government he dislikes from office?

It should never have happened that Ukraine, this wounded and scarred country, should be hit with brute force, that everything that has been achieved in the past few years will be undone. And yet it happened. War is like the miracle in theology. Everyone believes in eternal rights and in being protected by them for all time, and then suddenly the unforeseen, unheard of, disturbing things come into the world, and soon even the last denier of reality realizes that the world is a completely different place when he imagined it.
