A woman films the death of her husband after a nightmarish fall

The images are chilling. In Majorca, in the Balearic archipelago, a 31-year-old Dutch tourist died while his wife filmed him jumping from a very high cliff. Shared by the New York Postthe video of the terrible accident shows the man preparing to jump into the Balearic Sea. Without waiting, it throws itself into the void before violently hitting a rock and ending its course in the water. “Oh my God !“, then yells his wife, behind the camera.

According to a local daily, the Majorca Daily Bulletin, a rescue boat, a helicopter and divers were immediately dispatched to the scene. The body of the man, who was not immediately identified, was found shortly afterwards. Rescuers couldn’t do anything. His wife and son, who were on a rental boat at the time of the tragedy, received psychological help. An autopsy revealed one death by drowning following loss of consciousness. In other words, the young Dutchman did not die hitting the rocks. Nevertheless, his body suffered from a broken hip and arm, the medical examiner’s report reveals.

Second fatal fall in the same day in Mallorca

According to The Independenttwo tourists died on the same day, Thursday May 12, on the island of Mallorca. Earlier in the morning, a 34-year-old British boy died after falling from the 7^th floor of a hotel in Magaluf. According to the Spanish press, the man slipped while trying to balance himself on the rails of the hotel. The police suspect him of having acted under the influence of drugs, but an autopsy will have to confirm it.
