Between 1992 and 2018, in 15 seasons, A wonderful family entered the homes of many French people. On the set ofAs an asideThursday, April 7, 2022, Anny Duperey came back on this crazy adventure. She played the role of the mother alongside Bernard Le Coq. The proposal to play in this series came as it emerged from a very complicated period. “It’s a miracle. I can’t believe this amazing family is a coincidence. It’s a gift of life and profession and maybe someone, because it’s not possible“, she confided at first, looking at the sky.
“Finishing writing The Black Veil in a very complicated emotional state where I couldn’t stop crying, I asked my agent to do a comedy (…) after four sentences with Joël Santoni we discover that we are both orphans of father and mother at the same age. It’s true that we roll our eyes because we don’t know where they are but we say to ourselves that they are very well organized“, she said again with stars in her eyes. The collaboration between the director of the series and the actress went very well. There was something more between them, probably linked to their past common and the tragic loss of their parents.
Anny Duperey needed to create a wonderful family
According to Anny Duperey, if A wonderful family did so well, it’s because viewers felt it wasn’t just a series. “So that at least two of the creators, Joël Santoni and I, orphans at the same age, there was a need to create a fantasy family as we would have liked to have one.”
