A 16-year-old teenager suffered third degree burns after using lice shampoo to get rid of these parasites in her hair.

Aleema Ali, a young girl living in England, suffered a tragic experience. The teenager realized on returning from her boarding school that she had contracted lice. She was 12 at the time and decided to use an anti-lice shampoo to remove these parasites from her hair. While the product requires some exposure time, the teenager decided to help her mother with household chores as relates News Australia. "I went to the kitchen to take out the trash and as I walked my hair caught on fire ", explained Aleema, specifying that she did not know that "the drug was extremely flammable"."The only thing I could think of was: I'm going to die ", she confessed.

"In a way, I am now happy that this happened. It makes me a better person. My love and self-confidence increased rapidly. It changed my life for the better. I am much stronger, more courageous and confident than before […] I was also told that my hair will not grow back, but miraculously it has grown back. I can still lead a very normal life. I can drive and perform daily activities. ", she assured.

Aleema has created her Tik Tok page where she regularly posts makeup tutorials for her many followers. She also started a crowdfunding page to raise funds so that she can perform new skin surgery on her nose and lips.
