YouTube claims a violation of its terms of service but the clip is still visible on Twitter.

Passion for a brand can lead to the absurd, and a videographer by the name of Tad Park demonstrated it in a very beautiful way.

Autonomous driving of a Tesla tested life-size with children as guinea pigs

The man, owner of a Tesla Model 3 but also shareholder of the company founded by Elon Musk, wanted to conduct a life-size test in response to an online communication campaign which explained that the autonomous driving of Tesla vehicles does not was unable to detect children and could cause collisions.

Neither one nor two, Tad Park wanted to conduct the experiment to counter this campaign by having the preposterous and dangerous idea of using its own children as guinea pigs during various tests.

On three occasions, the videographer’s children stood in front of their father’s vehicle or crossed the street and, thankfully, the Model 3 stopped immediately each time it passed.

In his defence, Tad Park claims that his vehicle was traveling at a very slow pace and that he had ensured that the car was able to recognize his children.

American road safety forced to do prevention about autonomous driving systems

This test, seen 60,000 times on the platform, was not to the liking of YouTube, which has since removed the video. For the streaming giant, it violates its rules of use since the service in fact prohibits everything ” content showing a minor participating in dangerous activities or encouraging minors to do dangerous activities “.

This stupid behavior also had to react the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the American federal agency in charge of road safety. The latter published a press release urging users of autonomous vehicles not to reproduce this kind of scenario. ” No one should risk their life, or anyone else’s life, to test the performance of vehicle technology “, added the agency.

If YouTube reacted quickly, this is not the case of Twitter. The video was published on the social network and remains visible for the moment. Contacted by The VergeTwitter has made no comment and does not indicate whether it in turn intends to remove it.
