A2 near Steinberg – Two 19-year-olds crashed over the embankment with a car

For an as yet unexplained cause, a car skidded on Saturday afternoon on the A2 Südautobahn in the packing section shortly after the Steinberg motorway exit in the direction of Klagenfurt.

The car crashed over the embankment and finally came to rest next to the road in a wooded area. The two 19-year-old occupants were able to free themselves from the vehicle before the emergency services arrived. The Red Cross moved out with a total of eleven employees and five resources – including the Christophorus 12 emergency doctor’s helicopter.

The vehicle is badly damaged. The 19-year-olds received first aid on site and brought to Graz hospitals.
