Are doctors and pharmacies partly to blame for the tragic death of Aaron Carter? His ex-fiancée is suing on behalf of their son.

Almost a year after the accidental death of musician Aaron Carter (1987-2022), there is still no peace: As “TMZ” reported, his ex-fiancée has now filed a lawsuit against doctors and pharmacies for “wrongful death.” Bizarre: The lawsuit is being filed in the name of their son, who is not even two years old.

Drowned in the bathtub

The little brother of Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter (43) died tragically far too early at the age of just 34. He was found dead in the bathtub at home in Lancaster by his housekeeper on November 5, 2022. After the official police investigation concluded, his death was ruled an accident. Carter drowned due to the effects of ingested sedatives and inhaled gas. Alprazolam was found in his body, they said. The active ingredient is used to treat anxiety and panic disorders. He was also found to have difluoroethane – a gas that “can cause feelings of euphoria when inhaled,” it was further reported.

His ex-fiancée Melanie Martin (born 1992) apparently doesn’t want to just leave these test results alone. The lawsuit, which is available to TMZ and is filed on behalf of little Princeton Lyric Carter, now raises the question of the extent to which doctors and pharmacies were complicit in the tragic circumstances. Accordingly, the lawsuit states that the doctors prescribed hydrocodone, oxycodone and alprazolam without any medical justification and with knowledge of Aaron’s “mental health and psychiatric condition.” It goes on to say that the medication and quantities as well as Aaron’s psychiatric problems should have set alarm bells ringing at the pharmacy.

Melanie Martin filed the lawsuit on behalf of Princeton. The boy will be two years old in November. An unspecified amount of damages is to be demanded, reported “TMZ”.

Nick Carter: ‘Don’t think we’ll ever really get over it’

It was only in August that Aaron’s famous older brother Nick Carter (43) in an interview with “ETOnline” offered an insight into his emotional life and that of his relatives. “It was definitely hard for me and my family.” The Carters are still dealing with Aaron’s death “to this day. I don’t think we’ll ever really get over it.” According to Nick Carter, the family is trying to find ways to “deal with this really tragic situation.” Among other things, they are committed to a foundation that aims to help children with mental and emotional health problems in the USA.

At the beginning of his music career around the turn of the millennium, Aaron Carter was initially overshadowed by his much more successful brother. However, with the release of his second studio album “Aaron’s Party (Come Get It)” he also celebrated great success himself. But the singer later made negative headlines with drug escapades and made his ongoing health problems public. In September 2019, he declared that he suffered from multiple personality disorder, schizophrenia and acute anxiety, and also stated that he was manic-depressive. The relationship with Melanie Martin was also complicated; the couple had an on-off relationship that was characterized by massive arguments and mutual accusations.
