AB InBev: EPS down 3% in the second quarter


AB InBev reports underlying EPS of $0.73 for the second quarter, down 3% year-on-year, but normalized EBITDA of $5.1 billion, up 7.2% despite a reduction EBITDA margin of 1.3 points to 34.5%.

The brewer’s revenue increased 11.3% with revenue per hectoliter up 7.5% and total volumes up 3.4%, with own beer volumes up 2.7% and those of non-beers, an increase of 8.2%.

“The relentless implementation of our strategy, the strength of our brands and the accelerated digital transformation have enabled us to seize the moment in an operational environment that remains dynamic”, comments its CEO Michel Doukeris.
