Abaya: “Gabriel Attal’s greatest enemy is his government”, says Éric Zemmour

The abaya, a religious garment? The start of the school year was marked by the ban on wearing the abaya in public schools, colleges and high schools, decided by the Minister of National Education Gabriel Attal on August 27th. But are all these young girls wearing the abaya even animated by ideas of an Islamist nature? What’s behind every abaya? The Islamist movement? According to Éric Zemmour, president of the Reconquête! party, guest of La Grande interview Europe 1-CNews on Thursday, “75% of young people under 25 believe that the laws of Islam are superior to the laws of the French Republic, they were only 25% in previous generations of Muslims,” he said according to an Ifop poll.

“There is an Islamization of the country”

“We see there that there is an Islamization of the country. It is a problem because they are not three, they are hundreds, even thousands and more and more numerous. Why is there more and more abayas? Because there are more and more young Muslims. Why? Because their mothers have more children than the native French! North African and African women have between three and four children while the average in France is 1.68,” said the former columnist.

For the President of Reconquest! the country’s Islamization can also be explained by the increasing number of Muslims in France. “We are receiving more and more Muslims. I will give you two figures: 320,000 legal entries in 2022, to give you an idea, in 2000, it was 100,000. Not to mention the 150,000 asylum rights which are never returned so that’s 500,000 people every year, two-thirds of whom are Muslims. The greatest adversary, the greatest enemy of Mr. Attal, is not these young girls, it is not even the Council of State which risks to cancel its decision, it is not even LFI, it is its government, which does nothing to stop legal immigration”, he decided.

300 students showed up in abaya on Monday

On Monday, nearly 300 students showed up in their school in abaya, said Gabriel Attal, adding that 67 of them had refused to remove it. The Council of State will make its decision on the ban on the abaya at school, challenged by an association which points to a risk of discrimination and infringement of rights, this Thursday.

The association Action Droits des Musulmans (ADM) had urgently applied to the highest administrative court to obtain the suspension of this ban, indicating that this decision of the Minister “infringes the rights of the child, because it mainly targets children presumed Muslims, thus creating a risk of ethnic profiling at school”.
