ABB: invests in the start-up Tallarna

(CercleFinance.com) – ABB announces that it has invested in Tallarna, a British start-up specializing in climate technologies, with the aim of developing its portfolio of easy-to-use technological solutions for energy management.

Using data analytics powered by artificial intelligence, Tallarna has developed an innovative approach to decarbonization projects. A single platform informs customers of the viability of energy optimization solutions, the performance guarantees offered and the possibility of third-party financing.

“We need technology that can help decision-makers clearly identify priorities, provide easier financing models,” says Giampiero Frisio, president of ABB’s Smart Power division.

“Our software makes large-scale decarbonization financially viable by converting technical risks into financial risks, i.e. turning optimization projects into financial assets for investors,” adds Tim Meanock, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Tallarna.
