ABB: presents its 2021 sustainability report


(CercleFinance.com) – ABB presents its 2021 sustainability report, outlining the company’s achievements under its 2030 sustainability strategy.

ABB thus indicates that it has reduced its CO2 emissions by 39% in 2021, compared to the reference year 2019.

The company says it wants to help its customers reduce their annual CO2 equivalent emissions by more than 100 megatons by 2030, thanks to its advanced technologies, which is equivalent to the annual emissions of 30 million combustion cars.

ABB is committed to electrifying its entire fleet of over 10,000 vehicles and sourcing 100% renewable electricity by 2030.

In addition, the share of certified green and self-produced solar electricity rose to 51%, compared to 31% the previous year. More than 100 energy efficiency projects have been implemented across ABB, saving 17.5 GWh of energy, the company says.
