Academy success run – young bulls want to trample on

Managing director Pamminger knows the secret of the ongoing success of the Bullen Academy. The start of the new year for Samuel Major and Co. takes place on snow.

For the fourth time the young bulls are in the round of 16 of the Youth League. That is not by accident. The Salzburg Academy has done excellent work for many years when it comes to introducing young players to the highest level of football. One who has known the store for a long time is the academy managing director Manfred Pamminger. “Of course we are very happy because the conditions were different this year. There was a real academy team on site. We have never had anything like it before, ”said the 43-year-old. The advantage of this is that many players have known each other from the U12 and have known each other for many years. This “team unity” is the key next to the coaching team around Rene Aufhauser. Despite the ongoing success, Pamminger remains modest: “We know that none of this is a sure-fire success.” Maintaining the level becomes more difficult year after year – a motivation for Everyone. “Every day everyone thinks about improving,” says Pamminger, knowing what is important. Cross-country skiing in January Samuel Major and Co. are now on their well-deserved vacation. After the 2-0 win, most of them traveled home to their families. In January there is a cross-country training camp where you want to promote endurance and team building – as far as the pandemic allows. In the Youth League it can go on as before. “We always played a good role there,” says Pamminger.
