Accident in Brixlegg – newborn baby injured in collision in Tyrol

Serious rear-end collision on Saturday afternoon in the Tiroler Unterland: Two cars collided in Brixlegg (Kufstein district). A driver (53), a 23-year-old and her newborn son suffered injuries.

The accident happened around 3 p.m .: The 53-year-old local was coming from Kramsach on the B171 in the direction of Strass when she wanted to turn left into a local road in Brixlegg and stopped her car.

Crashed into the car with no brakes
“A future driver of a car – a 25-year-old Tyrolean who had his girlfriend (23) and the newborn son with him – did not notice the 53-year-old’s planned turning maneuver and crashed into the woman’s car without braking,” said the police report .

Hurt women and baby
Due to the force of the impact, the locals’ car crashed into the oncoming traffic and hit the vehicle of an oncoming 21-year-old. The 53-year-old, the young mother and the newborn were injured in the collision. The 53-year-old was brought with the rescue to the hospital in Kufstein, the 23-year-old and her son in the Innsbrucker.

The two men were unharmed. The main vehicles involved were totaled. The B171 was only passable in one lane for around an hour while the accident was recorded and the clean-up work.
