Accident in Hall i. T. – Pedestrian (79) hit by car, seriously injured

A 79-year-old pedestrian was hit by a car in Hall in Tirol on Friday evening and seriously injured. The woman is said to have suddenly stepped onto the street.

The senior was traveling around 6.40 p.m. in Hall on the lower town square when, according to the police, she suddenly stepped onto the main road to cross it – just in front of the car of a 67-year-old German who was driving east with his wife in the passenger seat. The injured were taken to the hospital. The car driver slammed on the brakes, but could no longer prevent him from colliding with the pedestrian. The 79-year-old was seriously injured in the collision. The ambulance took her to the state hospital in Hall. The driver and his passenger were uninjured, and the car was damaged.
