In the Tyrolean Stubai Valley, a toboggan (72) had an accident on Tuesday morning. He set the rescue chain in motion himself, but when it arrived, any help came too late for the man.
At around 10:55 a.m., the 72-year-old local was tobogganing in the Pinnistal in Neustift in the Stubaital. According to the police, he was traveling alone. He went over the toboggan run in a left-hand bend between hairpin bends 5 and 6 and then fell about 15 meters over moderately steep terrain. Any help came too late. But when the alarmed mountain rescue team and the crew of the emergency helicopter arrived, it was tragically too late for any help. The man had already succumbed to his serious injuries.
